Marking 100 years of Indian Cinema, we open with the Habitat Film Festival. Recognized today as one of the foremost showcases for Indian Cinema, HFF returns this year from July 21st-30th, once again bringing our audiences a pick of the year’s award winning, critically acclaimed as well as box office favourites. Showcasing this year are National Award winning films like Deool, Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Phijigee Mani, Adi Madhyantam amongst others.
This year the Festival celebrates the work of Waheeda Rehman one of the most elegant and popular actresses of the Golden Era of Indian cinema. A retrospective of her films brings us landmark films like Guide, Pyaasa, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, Teesri Kasam & Chaudhvi Ka Chand.
In the spirit of celebrating creative excellence, shared histories and common concerns, the Habitat Film Festival this year extends its frontiers to welcome the first Oscar winning film from Pakistan, the documentary Saving Face.
