Synopsis: A courtroom drama and historical fiction, Raag Desh is based on the Indian National Army Trials of 1945, held by the British Government as an exhibition of colonial authority. The focal point of the film is the court martial of the three soldiers, Col. Prem Sehgal (Mohit Marwah), Col. Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon (Amit Sadh) and Major Shah Nawaz Khan (Kunal Kapoor) who are found guilty of murdering deserters and for the general act of treason against the Crown, while lawyer Bhulabhai Desai (Kenny Desai) fights the case in their defence. The film chronicles in detail the lesser-known historical trajectory of the INA through this narrative- its early successes, the leadership of Subhash Chandra Bose and its eventual collapse under the British military in this period drama
